4th of July events going down all across the RGV

If you haven’t made 4th of July plans yet, we’ve got you covered with a breakdown of all Independence Day themed events going down across the Rio Grande Valley.
From fireworks to Stormy Daniels, there’s 4th of July fun for all ages.
Brownsville – Brownsville Sports Park is hosting July 4th Salute to Freedom Celebration on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., a FREE event. There will be live music from Sidewinder of Texas, ZZ Not and The Reverie Band.
“More than 5,000 spectators from all over the lower Rio Grande Valley are expected to attend our 19th Annual Salute to Freedom event this year! The celebration features live music, food vendors, sponsor booths, and family friendly games, all leading up to the longest and most spectacular fireworks show in the area!”
Edinburg – If you’re looking for some sports action on the 4th of July, H-E-B Park’s got you covered as Club America takes on Pachuca at 6:30 p.m. in Edinburg. Tickets can be purchased at HEBParkrgv.com.
And for the adults: Stormy Daniels, who has been in headlines for her sexual relationships with the president, will be gracing the stage at Tex Mex Lounge in Edinburg on July 4, performing at 9 p.m. and midnight. Each performance from Daniels will run about 20-25 minutes.
Harlingen – The city of Harlingen is hosting Freedom Fest from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Lon C. Hill Park featuring music from Wade Town, Buck’n Crazy, Dezigual with a firework show at 9 p.m. Admission is free.

McAllen – On Wednesday, July 4, the City of McAllen is hosting a Patriotic Program and Parade at 9 a.m. starting at Houston Street and concluding at Cedar Street, followed by a Freedom Festival at Archer Park featuring music, food and games for the whole family.
At night, McAllen is hosting a Concert in the Sky Fireworks Extravaganza at Municipal Park at 7 p.m. with a “sizzling fireworks and musical display that will light up the sky and 9 p.m.”
There is also a 4th of July Comedy Showcase set for Wednesday night at Cine el Rey at 9:30 p.m. for $10 featuring some of the Valley’s best comics.
San Juan – The City of San Juan will be having a 4th of July Celebration on Tuesday, July 3 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. at San Juan Municipal Park.
“Bring your BBQ pit and join us for the FIREWORKS SHOW! There will be performances by the Roy Solis Band (Roy Solis Music), Eddie Saenz, and Valley Wrestling Matches. So come out and enjoy the food, water slides, and music!”
Weslaco – The City of Weslaco is hosting its 4th annual Fireworks Festival on Wednesday, July 4 at 4 p.m. at Mayor Pablo G. Pena Park, with the firework spectacular kicking off at 9 p.m. The event is Free and will feature music from The Legendzz.
